Car manufacturer Honda Odyssey recall

Honda Motor Co. has announced a recall of 630,000 units of vehicles associated with the failure of the function module features Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA). According to Honda, the vehicle is the Odyssey recall as many as 344,000 units and the remaining 68,000 units are Element output in 2007-2008.

According to research conducted, defects in the VSA features make the brakes hard to operate normally due to be softened by itself. It takes a deep foothold and strong pressure to make a vehicle stop. This is caused by the entry of air into the brake system of each VSA performs a self-check.

The impact of air will accumulate in the brake lines and make the driver must step on the brake pedal deeply. At a certain point, where the braking system had been infected with the air in significant amounts, the brakes did not work.

Recall decision was made after the body of Highway Safety United States found three cases of accidents, though not to take casualties.
